Written by Nizam Shaikh

BMW could be planning to launch the CE 02 in the Indian market. The CE 02 will be localised and produced at the TVS-BMW manufacturing facility in Hosur. The electric scooter is also co-developed under the TVS-BMW partnership. In the past we also reported that the German company was road testing the CE 02 in India and is likely to launch the EV soon. However, the brand brought the larger and much expensive CE 04 which is currently on sale at the price of INR 14.90 lakh ex-showroom in India. The high price of the CE 04 is because the e-scooter is produced in Berlin and comes to India via the CBU (Completely Built-Up) import route.

BMW CE 02 Price in India?

Since the BMW CE 02 will be made in India, the brand is likely to offer it at a much more affordable price tag. However, the price is only likely to be affordable as compared to the CE 04. Reports also suggest that the CE 02 is likely to be positioned above the TVS X electric scooter which costs around INR 2.50 lakh ex-showroom. But how costly will the CE 02 be in India? Well, we don’t know yet. But in the international markets the BMW CE 02 comes with a price tag starting at USD 7,599 MSRP which is about INR 6.35 lakh. But, since the company is producing the EV in India, it is likely to be priced around the INR 4 lakh mark.

BMW CE 02 – Powertrain

The CE 02 also comes with dual batteries which offer a combined range of 90 km on a single charge as well as a top speed of around 95 Kmph. The scooter also comes with an optional quick charger
