BMW Motorrad M 1000 XR Competition – Design

The BMW Motorrad M 1000 XR Competition, blends the best of both worlds – M-like performance and XR-like long-distance capability. The motorcycle features a dynamic design featuring ultra-compact and powerful proportions. In addition to this, the 3D surfaces on the motorcycle make it look more aggressive from the front. The bike also comes with new M winglets and signature LED lights. The M winglets offer downforce at high speed making the motorcycle more stable and also lowers the tendency to do wheelies.

Powering the BMW M 1000 XR Competition is a power unit based on the S 1000 RR. However, BMW has modified the water-cooled 4-cylinder in-line engine for the dual personality motorcycle.
