German luxury two-wheeler manufacturer BMW Motorrad has announced its overall annual 2021 sales report for the Indian market. The brand sold 5,191 motorcycles in India during 2021 and registered a 102.5% growth when compared to 2020. BMW Motorrad entered the Indian automotive landscape 5 years ago and has worked hard towards outperforming itself annually. The brand introduced a variety of premium products across the Indian two-wheeler segment in 2021 to increase its overall portfolio.
In 2021, BMW Motorrad launched a variety of products in India which included the C 400 GT and R 1250 GS. Additionally, the brand also launched the R 1250 GS Adventure, R nine T, R nine T Scrambler, and S 1000 R. Other launches for 2021, including the all-new BMW M 1000 RR and the BMW R 18 Classic as premium motorcycles. By launching these motorcycles, BMW Motorrad India excited the community by offering best-in-class riding dynamics, features, and performance.
The brand states that the BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS drove their sales numbers. Other popular models from its arsenal included the BMW S 1000 RR, BMW R 1250 GS/GSA. Along with the F 900 R/XR and R 18, BMW Motorrad India also sold the C400 GT scooter. Being the brand’s first-ever premium scooter, the BMW C400 GT witnessed great demand among customers since its launch in 2021.
Meanwhile, BMW Financial Services India undertook the strategic role of expanding BMW Motorrad’s footprint by offering customizable and flexible solutions. With these financial plans, BMW Financial Service gathered a premium clientele for facilitating and enhancing the sales of BMW Motorrad. In December 2021, TVS Motors and BMW Motorrad announced their partnered plans of expansion by developing new platforms for EVs.
The two brands will prepare themselves for the future by designing and developing electric-based technology for BMW Motorrad products. Along with world-class quality, supply chain management, and industrialization, the two brands will offer a range of products and technologies.
