BMW Motorrad F 900 R price in India increased by INR 90,000

BMW Motorrad launched the F 900 R in May last year at prices starting INR 9.90 lakh ex-showroom, India. The motorcycle is offered in the brand’s mid-range portfolio in the naked roadster category which has quite a following in the Indian market. The brand has now revised the price list of the F 900 R and given the motorcycle price hike of INR 90,000 on its ex-showroom cost which means the 2021 BMW F 900 R now starts at INR 10.80 lakh ex-showroom.

The price hike is expected to be in-line with the rise in input cost with materials such as steel and semiconductors being more expensive, the diminishing exchange rate of rupee and the volatility of the commodity. Apart from the price hike, the 2021 BMW F 900 R remains unchanged, both mechanically and cosmetically.

The BMW F 900 R is powered by a BS6 compliant 895cc liquid-cooled in-line twin-cylinder, four-stroke four-valve DOHC engine with an electronic fuel injection system that produces 105 hp of power and 92 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox and wet multi-plate, anti-hopping clutch. The brand claims a 0-100 kmph timing of just 3.6 seconds and a top speed of over 200 kmph.

The BMW F 900 R features a roadster design language which comes with sharp stacked BMW LED headlamps, signature crescent moon LED daytime running lights, a small flyscreen, chiselled fuel tank, flat handlebars, boomerang-shaped side cowling, scooped seats, short fenders, a sharp high mount tail, gold-finished front forks, black finished steel bridge frame, black-finished engine and alloy wheels, and an upswept exhaust with integrated dual outlets.

The BMW F 900 R also features Rain & Road riding modes, which tunes the power delivery and other electronic safety features to its optimum settings, a 6.5-inch colour TFT instruments screen with BMW Motorrad connectivity, traction control, anti-lock braking system and automatic stability control (ASC) come as standard.

The BMW F 900 R is offered in two colour options – Silver metallic/Racing Red and Black Storm Metallic.
