BMW M5 CS for fastest MotoGP qualifier in 2021

BMW will be awarding the best qualifier of this year’s MotoGP season, a BMW M5 CS. This will be the 19th time that BMW will be awarding its vehicle to the best qualifier in MotoGP. The BMW M5 CS is one of the ‘Safety Cars’ in MotoGP since the beginning of this season. The ultra-sporty CS model is also part of the BMW M Awards, an integral part of MotoGP for almost 20 years now.

BMW M Award M5 CS

The BMW M5 CS for the BMW M Award is in the Frozen Deep Green metallic colour. The same colour option is used on the BMW M5 CS Safety Car in MotoGP. The ultra-sporty CS comes with a 4.4-litre V8 engine that makes 635 Hp of power. This makes the limited-run special-edition model one of the most powerful cars in the history of BMW M. The M power engine is capable of propelling the car from 0-100 kmph in just 3.0 seconds. It takes 10.3 seconds from 0-200 kmph and the M5 CS can do a top speed of 305 kmph.

Performance Features

The BMW M5 CS comes with an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic and M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. This system also features a 2WD mode for pure rear-wheel drive fun. The BMW M5 CS also features lightweight chassis and retuned bearing springs. The car also gets a 4-outlet stainless steel M5 CS sports exhaust and M Carbon ceramic brakes. Other features include carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) parts on both the inside and outside of the car. For example, the front splitter, rear diffuser, bonnet, exterior mirror caps, M Power engine compartment cover, intake and rear spoiler are CFRP. The M5 CS also features M Carbon seats, integral head restraints with illuminated M5 logos and an outline of the Nürburgring circuit. The car also comes with classic racing car features such as a centre marker on the M Alcantara steering wheel and Carbon Fibre gear shift paddles.
