BMW launches 2019 7-Series in India for INR 1.22 crore, 6 variants on offer

BMW has launched the refreshed 7-Series luxury sedan in India at prices starting from INR 1.22 crore. This car rivals the likes of Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 and comes to India in a total of 6 variants now. The 7-Series 730 Ld DPE costs INR 1.22 crore, 730 Ld DPE Signature costs INR 1.31 crore, 730 Ld M Sport costs INR 1.34 crore, 740 Li DPE Signature costs INR 1.34 crore, 745 Le xDrive costs INR 1.65 crore and the top spec M 760 Li xDrive costs INR 2.42 crore.

The highlight is the range topping M 760 Li xDrive which gets a 6.6L, twin-turbo, gasoline motor which is a V12 layout and pumps out 585 HP of power and 850 Nm of torque matched to an 8-speed gearbox. This mammoth sized car with a humongous engine performs a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 3.8 seconds.

The diesel engine under the hood of the BMW 7-Series facelift is a 3.0L, 6-cylinder motor which produces 265 HP of power. The Petrol motor is also a 3.0L, 6-cylinder unit and it produces 340 HP of power. Both engine options come matched to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, but the petrol version comes with AWD for better traction. BMW is also offering a plug-in hybrid model which is the 745 Le and it comes with an electric motor which adds 113 HP and 265 Nm of torque. However, the combined output for the 745 Le is 394 HP of power and 600 Nm of torque even though the 6-cylinder petrol independently is capable of pumping 286 HP and 450 Nm. The hybrid gets AWD.

The BMW autonomous parking system is also on offer in the 7-Series facelift.

The 2019 facelift of the BMW 7-Series gets a larger front grille with more dose of chrome, sleek LED headlamps, revised front and rear bumpers, all-new tail lamps, reworked bonnet and tail gate and new alloy wheels. Inside, the BMW 7-Series has all the bells and whistles as per the luxury limousine standard. Panaromic sunroof with illumination, ambient lights, massage seats, touchscreen audio system with gesture control, electric seats and all that is obviously in place.
