BMW has launched the new BMW iX xDrive50 in India at the price of INR 1.395 crore ex-showroom. The all-electric SAV will be available at all BMW dealerships across India from today onwards. The brand also revealed that the BMW iX xDrive50 will come to India as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU) and features a standard two-year warranty for unlimited
kilometres, eight years or up to 160,000 km battery warranty and five-year Road Side Assistance.
Powering the all-electric iX xDrive50 is a 5th generation BMW eDrive integrated drive unit. The electric drivetrain features two electric motors (for front and rear axles), a single-speed transmission and power electronics. The eDrive unit produces 523 hp of power and 765 Nm of torque coupled to a quick responding intelligent all-wheel drive system. BMW also offers ‘My Modes’ – Personal, Sport or Efficient. The electric motors are capable of propelling the car from 0-100 kmph in just 4.6 seconds and come with BMW IconicSounds Electric. The BMW iX xDrive50 also comes with Adaptive 2-Axle Air Suspension.
The BMW iX xDrive50 comes with two floor integrated high voltage batteries with a combined capacity of 111.5 kWh. In the WLTP test cycle the batteries claim a range of 635 km on a single charge. BMW also offers the iX with fast charging. The car can charge from using a 195 kW DC Charger in 35 minutes and adds up to 145 kms in 10 min. Using a 50 kW DC Charger the iX can charge from 10%-80% in 97 minutes. With a 22 kW AC Charger 100% SOC is achieved in about 5.5 hours. And on an 11 kW AC Charger 100% SOC takes about 11 hours. BMW is also offering a complimentary smart BMW Wallbox charger with installation with the iX xDrive50.
