BMW i7 M70 xDrive with 1,100 Nm torque launched in India

BMW has launched the most powerful electric vehicle from its portfolio in India. The all-electric i7 M70 xDrive is available for INR 2.5 crore, ex-showroom. The car is imported in India via the CBU route and is the first all-electric M car with 1,100 Nm of peak torque.

The BMW i7 comes with an expressive design language featuring monolithic surfaces and a completely new front end. The front apron design has been exclusively reserved for BMW’s luxury models. The split headlight features LED DRLs and BMW crystal headlights. The car also comes with backlit crystals from Swarovski and an illuminated BMW Kidney Grille. The car also features a dynamic light carpet with changing projections. The sedan also comes with wraparound taillights and a progressive roofline.

The car also gets M specific parts like side skirts, front side panels, ORVMs, and rear spoiler. The sedan rides on 21-inch M alloy wheels.

On the inside, the car comes with a dual screen for the infotainment and the instrument cluster, gesture control, wireless charges, and a four zone climate control. The car also gets a 36-speaker Bowers and Wilkins music system and a 31.3-inch screen for the rear passengers. This screen is retractable. The rear doors feature 5.5-inch touch screens for controls.

The BMW i7 M70 xDrive insides are finished in a piano black and silver theme. Other M specific bits include illuminated M door sills, M Merino Leather trim in Black or Atlas Grey upholstery, M leather steering wheel, and M-specific footrest.

Powertrain of the BMW i7 M70 xDrive

This electric sedan comes with a dual-motor layout and a 101.7 kWh battery pack. BMW has claimed a maximum range of 560 km.
Meanwhile, the combined system output of the motors is 657 BHP and 1,100 Nm of peak torque. The 0-100 km/h time is claimed to be 3.7 seconds. The i7 M70 xDrive has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
