BMW 5-Series 530i Sport with BS6 engine launched at INR 55.40 lakh

Premium car manufacturer BMW has launched the new BMW 530i Sport in India now available with BMW dealerships at the price of INR 55.40 lakh ex-showroom. The new BMW 530i Sport is locally produced at BMW Group’s manufacturing facility in Chennai and is BS6 standards-compliant. 

On the exterior, the 530i Sport features the signature kidney grille with chrome accents, chrome and gloss black elements on the bumper, Adaptive LED Headlights with anti-dazzle high-beam, 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels, satin-finished aluminium air intakes and chrome high-gloss tailpipes. The BMW 530i is available in four metallic paint options:- Mineral White, Black Sapphire, Mediterranean Blue and Bluestone Metallic.

On the interiors, the BMW 530i Sport features high-gloss black interiors highlighted with pearl chrome finishers, beige and black upholstery options, BMW Display Key, BMW Live Cockpit Professional – 12.3-inch fully digital Instrument Display, 10.25-inch touchscreen with 3D maps enabled navigation along with Apple CarPlay integration, BMW gesture control, BMW iDrive touch, leather-wrapped multifunction sports steering wheel, ambient lighting, BMW logo door sills etc.

The BMW 530i is powered by a BS6 emission compliant 2.0-litre, four-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine that produces 252 hp of power and 350 Nm of torque mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The BMW 530i Sport comes with driving modes – Comfort, ECO PRO, Sport and Sport+ along with a Launch Control function as standard.  The BMW 530i Sport can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 6.1 seconds. 

In terms of safety, the BMW 530i Sport comes with six airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Active Park Distance Control (PDC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Side-impact Protection, Runflat tyres (RFT) with reinforced sidewalls, electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensors.

BMW also offers inclusive service packages that cover Condition Based Service and scheduled maintenance with plans starting from 3 years/ 40,000 km which will cost around INR 17,300 per year which reduces the cost of ownership of the car. The service and repairs packages can be extended to up to 10 years / 2,00,000 km by paying a differential amount. Similar service packages can also be availed on older BMW cars.
