BMW G 310 RR bookings cross 1,000 unit milestone

There’s good news coming from the house of BMW Motorrad. The motorcycle maker’s newly launched G 310 RR has received an overwhelming 1,000 bookings. Currently, G 310 RR is the third product from BMW India’s stable. This motorcycle is basically a rebadged version of the TVS Apache RR 310 worth some subtle changes.

Customers have two variants to choose from, Standard and Style Sport. To differentiate between the two models, the Standard version features a Black Storm Metallic shade. Meanwhile, the premium Style Sport variant sports the Racing Blue Metallic with Racing Red colour. Prices for the Standard trim start at INR 2.85 lakh as against INR 2.99 lakh for the Style Sport trim. All the mentioned prices are in the ex-showroom.

Features On Offer

The BMW G 310 RR feature list includes a host of new equipment and kit. This comprises full-LED lighting, a five-inch colour-TFT display, four riding modes (Track, Urban, Rain and Sport), Dual-Channel ABS with rear wheel lift-off protection and ride-by-wire throttle. Noteworthy to mention, unlike the TVS Apache RR 310, this BMW motorcycle misses Bluetooth connectivity. And this is a big miss as per 2022 standards.

Technical Specifications

Mechanically, too, the BMW G 310 RR is similar to the Apache RR 310. Hence, it shares the same 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine from TVS. The equipped gearbox is a six-speed gearbox. The performance output from the motor reads as 33.5bhp at 9,700rpm and a peak torque of 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm in the Track and Sport modes.

In the Rain and Urban mode, the power and torque output is 25.4bhp at 7,700rpm and 25Nm at 6,700rpm. The Bavarian brand also opted to go with the same disc brakes from the G 310 GS and the G 310 R for the G 310 RR. This is different from the petal discs found on the TVS RR 310. The G 310 RR also uses the Michelin Pilot Street tyres instead of the Michelin Road 5 tyres that the Apache has been using since 2020.

BMW G 310 RR Competition

The BMW G 310 RR goes up against the likes of the 2022 KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and also its own sibling, the TVS Apache RR 310.
