BMW has released a new teaser video of its upcoming G 310 RR. The motorcycle shares a lot of similarities to the TVS Apache RR 310. In the teaser video, we could also see the motorcycle’s instrument console. As per reports, the BMW G 310 RR will go on sale on 15th July. Interested customers can avail of the pre-launch bookings to book their interest.
The video shows that the instrument cluster is very similar to that of the Apache RR 310’s unit. The carbon-fibre-like bezels and tell-tale lights too remain the same as well. On startup, the screen welcomes the rider with a BMW logo and its tagline, ‘Make Life A Ride’. BMW has also announced that the motorcycle is now available at an EMI of INR 3,999 per month with BMW Financial Services.
The overall design is also very similar to that of TVS’s flagship model. There are some minute changes visible on the front cowl and the visor. Being a BMW, the motorcycle gets its trademark Light White/Racing Blue Metallic/Racing Red livery. One difference is that the triangle-shaped recess between the two headlamps on the Apache is now removed in the BMW. In that place, it gets a fake air intake system or a piano black element.
The performance figure of the motorcycle is quite capable and can also put a lot of other motorcycles to shame. The equipped 312cc power unit can propel the bike from 0 to 60 kmph in under 2.93 seconds. Meanwhile, the triple digits come in 7.17 seconds. With a top speed of 166 kmph, the motorcycle is a desirable product amongst riding enthusiasts. Other key motorcycle features include dual-channel ABS, slipper clutch, three ride modes with electronic throttle control, Michelin Road 5 tires and more.
As of now, the TVS Apache RR 310 retails at an ex-showroom price of INR 2.65 lakhs (ex-showroom). However, we are predicting BMW to have more premium pricing. Thus, the price could lie somewhere in the range of INR 3 to INR 3.2 lakhs (ex-showroom).
