BMW Motorrad is planning to upgrade the sport naked G 310 R motorcycle. The brand will be deploying new colour themes on the motorcycle model to keep it afresh. The BMW Motorrad G 310 R is reportedly one of the hot-sellers in the brand’s India portfolio. Therefore, we believe that the brand will bring the upgraded model to the Indian market soon.
The BMW Motorrad G 310 R in the Indian market comes with colour options such as Polar White, Cosmic Black and Style Sport. In the international market, the brand has tweaked the colour options making them more attractive. For example, the Cosmic Black option on the motorcycle now features more black panels and comes with smoked headlamps. The side panels and the headlamp cowling is also finished in black. But the bike still gets gold finish stanchions. In the home market, BMW Motorrad calls the new colour Style Triple Black.
Similarly, instead of the Polar White option, the German market gets a Style Passion colour option. This new colour option features a glowing kyanite blue metallic underline with a combination of Red and White. The Style Sport options with the Limestone metallic paintwork and red rims stay common in both the Indian and European markets.
The brand is not likely to make any powertrain changes on the BMW G 310 R. Powering the roadster is a BS6 emission-compliant 313cc reverse-inclined single-cylinder engine. The engine produces 34 Hp of power and 28 Nm of torque. With the new BS6/Euro5 upgrade, BMW also upgraded the engine in terms of engine refinement and features. One crucial feature that the motorcycle gets is a self-reinforcing slipper/assist clutch. The motorcycle also comes with electronic throttle, new switchgear, BMW LED headlamps, adjustable levers etc. All these features are likely to carry over into the upgrade.
