BMW Motorrad has upgraded its motorcycle portfolio in the international market. The brand recently revealed the upgraded F 900 R, G 310 R, and G 310 GS. Now the brand has unveiled the upgraded F 900 XR, S 1000 XR, and F 850 GS in the global market. The 2022 model updates are cosmetic, and the bike does not come with any mechanical changes.
BMW has upgraded the adventure motorcycle F 900 XR in the international market. The motorcycle now comes with a new Triple Black and Black Storm Metallic paint scheme. BMW also continues to offer the Racing Red colour, but BMW has discontinued the Galvanic Gold colour. The brand has also added new knuckle guards on the handlebar, which are now standard equipment. Powering the F 900 XR is an 895cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine. The engine makes 105 Bhp of power and 92 Nm of torque. The motor gets a 6-speed transmission with assist and a slipper clutch.
BMW Motorrad also upgraded the S 1000 XR in the international market with three new colours for 2021. The brand is also offering a new billet pack with the adventure sports motorcycle eliminating the need for the left engine protector. The new colours in the line-up include Style Triple Black with Black storm metallic, Racing Red and Light White/M Motorsport. The Light White colour is only available in the M Sport package.
Like the other BMW Motorrad motorcycle upgrades, the changes are cosmetic. The S 1000 XR remains mechanically unchanged. Powering the S 1000 XR is a 999cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The engine produces 162 Bhp of power and 114 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The motor also does duty on the BMW S 1000 R that recently made its debut in India.
BMW Motorrad offers the F 850 GS adventure motorcycle a new Triple Black with Black Storm Metallic colour. The brand is also offering the bike with knuckle guards as standard. But now, the limited “40 Years of GS” edition has been discontinued from the market. The brand has not made any mechanical changes to the motorcycle. Powering the F 850 GS is an 853cc parallel-twin engine that produces 92.5 Bhp of power and 92 Nm of torque.
