BMW Motorrad has unveiled new colour themes for the BMW F 900 R roadster and the G 310 GS adventure motorcycles. Both motorcycles receive cosmetic updates as part of the model year update in the international market. Expect the new colour themes to come to the Indian market in the near future. Apart from the cosmetic upgrades, both the roadster and the adventure do not receive any mechanical changes.
The BMW F 900 R now comes with a new combination of Light White / Racing Blue Metallic / Racing Red colour theme. This new ‘Style Sport’ theme brings out the aggressive character of the motorcycle. Another colour is the Bluestone metallic known as ‘Style Exclusive’. Both the colour options retail alongside the dark and dynamic Black Storm Metallic, which is also available in India. The Style Sport colour option in India features Hockenheim silver metallic and Racing red colour theme.
Powering the BMW Motorrad F 900 R is an 895cc parallel-twin-cylinder engine. The water-cooled four-stroke four-valve DOHC motor produces 105 hp of power and 92 Nm of torque. The electronically fuel-injected engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox with a wet multi-plate anti-hopping clutch.
In the Indian market, the BMW F 900 R comes with a price tag of INR 10.80 lakh ex-showroom. The new version is likely to arrive around the festive season towards the end of 2021.
The BMW G 310 GS features a new Style Triple Black colour option. This new theme features a ‘Cosmic Black uni 2’ colour with darkened ‘GS’ logo, silver side cowling, silver under-seat tray and gold finish on the stanchions. The brand in the international market also retails the Style Rally and Polar White uni alongside the new Style Triple Black option. In the Indian market, BMW Motorrad retails the Style Rally, Polar White and “40 Years GS” edition colour themes.
Powering the BMW G 31o GS is a 313cc reverse-inclined single-cylinder engine. The liquid-cooled, fuel-injected motor produces 34 Hp of power and 28 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox and a self-reinforcing assist/slipper clutch. The four-stroke engine also comes with an electronic throttle and is full BS6/Euro5 compliant.
BMW retails the G 310 GS at a price starting at INR 2.90 lakh ex-showroom India. The brand is likely to introduce the new colour update soon and replace the “40 Years GS” edition.
