The cabin of the 3 LWB gets the connected screen display, new door trims and centre console aluminium highlights, and new leather upholstery. The electrically adjustable front seats now get extendable thigh support, while the 3-zone climate control keeps the interiors cool.

Some other crucial feature highlights of the 3 LWB include a bigger panoramic sunroof, ambient lights with mood lighting and customisation, active carbon filters, and more.

Powering the 3 LWB is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that makes 258 bhp and 400 Nm of power and torque figures. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and offers a quick performance from 0-100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds.

BMW also plans to introduce a diesel iteration of the 3 LWB later. The key safety features of the new 3 Series Long Wheelbase include the level 2 ADAS, Park Plus with a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, and more.

Our verdict

The demand for luxury sedans in India has dipped with time. However, brands like BMW and Mercedes-Benz are still focused on updating and providing their sedan portfolio for customers. The new 3 LWB offers more luxury and space than the standard 3 Series at a reasonable price tag.
