BluSmart has placed an order for 500 units of the MG ZS EV. The electric ride hailing company plans to use the vehicles in its Bangalore and Delhi NCR fleet.
BluSmart’s expansion plans
Earlier this year, BluSmart had raised US$ 42 million from investors. Thanks to these funds, the company plans to double its fleet to 10,000 vehicles by next year. The fleet operator also plans to enter into other cities.
Currently, BluSmart operates in Delhi NCR and limited areas of Bangalore. The expansion will enable the company to compete with rivals Uber and Ola yet offer their customers a cleaner and greener alternative.
The MG ZS EVs will be a part of BluSmart’s premium fleet.
MG ZS EV : More Details
The ZS EV is India’s first Internet SUV. The all-electric car comes with multiple charging options like DC Super-Fast Chargers, AC Fast Chargers, AC Fast Charger at MG dealerships, Portable charger with ZS EV and 24X7 mobile charging support via RSA.
The ZS EV also comes with a 50.3 kWh battery which offers a maximum range of 461 km on a single charge. The motor output is 176 PS and the 0-100 km/h time is 8.5 seconds. Further, the battery in the ZS EV is a prismatic cell-type battery which is claimed to have better range and life while offering high energy density.
On the inside, the ZS EV, MG comes with an all-black theme with contrast silver inlays. Key features of this SUV include a wireless charger, heated exterior rearview mirrors, a 360-degree parking camera, a 7-inch full-TFT instrument panel, power front seats, and an automatic parking brake.
10,000 units of MG ZS EV on India roads
Recently, MG announced that the company had sold 10,000 units of the all-electric ZS EV in India. This is a significant milestone in the company’s history. Apart from this, MG has set out an ambitious target of installing 1000 AC fast chargers in 1000 days. These will be installed in community spaces and offer electric buyers a more better experience.
