Bentley has revealed the new Continental GT Speed and Continental GTC Speed in the international market. The Continental GT Speed and the GTC Speed which is essentially the convertible version of the Continental GT Speed. Even in its fourth-generation the Continental GT Speed and GTC continue to blend the supercar performance with luxury as well as everyday usability.
On the outside, the Bentley Continental GT Speed comes with a new design DNA, drawing inspiration from the coachbuilt Bentley Bacalar and Batur. The car also follows key design aspects from the Bentley’s heritage since the iconic R-Type Continental of 1952. The two-door high-performance luxury car features a muscular but relaxed stance. Bentley reveals that the Continental GT Speed has the Tiger at Rest design – “calm and collected, but ready to unleash incredible force.”
On the inside, the Bentley Continental GT Speed comes with new grand tourer features a new precision quilt pattern. The car also gets a new Dark Chrome Specification which is applied to the door handles, switches, speaker grilles and other areas. The model also continues to get the Bentley Rotating Display which is a three-sided display that features a 12.3-inch high-definition screen on one side and three elegant analogue dials on the other set in an unbroken veneer.
Powering the Bentley Continental GT Speed is a 4.0-litre cross plane V8 engine paired to a 190 PS electric motor which offers an electric only range of 81 km. The all-new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain produces 782 PS of power and 1,000 Nm of torque. This translates to a 0-100 Kph time of just 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 335 kph. The engine is matched to an eight-speed dual clutch transmission and an electronic limited slip differential (eLSD) to all four wheels. The car also features Bentley Dynamic Ride (48V active anti-roll control), and torque vectoring technology.
