Zhejiang Qianjiang Chinese conglomerate has introduced its new sub-brand for the Chinese market to deal particularly in high-end motorcycles called QJ Motor which launched the first product the new QJ Motor Chase 600 positioned in the middleweight category which is also believed to be the Benelli SRK 600 for the international market.
Now a picture of the QJ Motor SRB 750 Adventure motorcycle for the Chinese market gives us the glimpse of how the Benelli TRK 800 will be when the ADV is introduced. The QJ Motor SRB 750 is likely to be sold under the Benelli brand with the TRK 800 moniker, in the international market. The Benelli TRK 800 is likely to be positioned above the Benelli TRK 502 and with the larger displacement engine, the adventure motorcycle will be able to compete with the Triumph Tiger 800, BMW F 750 GS, the BMW F 850 GS and the likes.
In the engine department, the QJ Motor SRB 750 is speculated to be based on the Benelli 752S which is powered by a 754cc parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve per cylinder DOHC engine with Electronic fuel injection and dual throttle body that produces 76.8 PS of power and 67 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed transmission and wet multi-plate clutch. In terms of its electronic package, the Benelli TRK 800 / QJ Motor SRB 750 is likely to feature a 5-inch fully-digital full-colour TFT instrument cluster, keyless ignition, riding modes, ABS, traction control etc.
In terms of design and styling, the images of the QJ Motor SRB 750 appears to come with an upright front fascia with a tall windscreen, wraparound LED headlamp unit, long-travel suspension, upright handlebars, mid-set footpegs, a beak on the front, chiselled fuel tank, step-up seats, side slung high-mounted exhaust, tail integrated pillion grabrail and tail rack, spoked rims shod in dual-sport tyres.
As of now there are no reports of the Benelli TRK 800 coming to the Indian market and the brand is yet to upgrade the TRK 502 and the TRK 502x adventure motorcycles in the Indian market and is expected to do so, as soon as the supply chain disrupted due to the COVID-19 lockdown is restored. The QJ Motor Chase 600 is also expected to come to the Indian market rebranded as the Benelli SRK 600 sometime in 2021 following its debut at the EICMA 2020.
