Benelli restarted their operations with a bang when they announced the launch of TRK 502 & TRK 502X adventure motorcycles here in India. Both these bikes have been priced attractively, and seems like that his helping. Benelli claims that they have received more than 150 bookings for this newly launched adventure tourer model in just 15 days since launch. A total of 85 units of the TRK 502X have been booked while the TRK 502 accounts for 65 units.
Powering the Benelli TRK 502X & TRK 502 is the same engine. This is a 499cc, Parallel-Twin, 4-stroke, Liquid cooled, 4-valves/ cylinder, DOHC motor producing 47.5 PS of power and 46 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The TRK 502X is a more off-road friendly motorcycle with spoke rims, high mount exhaust, 21″ front rim, long travel suspension, higher saddle height, luggage mounts and the likes. The TRK 502 is a proper highway tourer with 17″ alloy wheels at the front and back.
ABS is offered as standard on both models.
Benelli will have a total of 40 dealerships up and running by the end of 2019.
At the moment, the Benelli motorcycles start with the TNT 300 and going all the way up to the TNT 600i. The bigger TNT 899 & TNT 1130R have been discontinued which were introduced when the brand first came to India. Benelli now offers 5-year / unlimited km warranty as standard on all their bikes.
