Benelli along with their new partner here in India launched the TRK 502 & TRK 502X models recently. However, the brand is all set to get on a product offensive, and they have a total of 5 product launches for 2019. While the Leoncino motorcycle has been confirmed for debut shortly, the TRK 251, an entry-level adventure tourer motorcycle is also on the cards.
The latest pictures we have received showcases the motorcycle in its production ready avatar. This bike, when launched, will be a rival to the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 390 Adventure & the BMW G310GS. Considering the aggressive price tag of the Benelli TRK 502 twins, we expect the TRK 251 to be priced below INR 3 lakh ex-showroom.
Powering this motorcycle will be a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke motor producing 25 BHP of power and 21 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. We’ve already seen this engine on the TNT 25 here in India.
With styling typical of adventure tourers, the TRK 251 gets a semi-fairing, beak style front styling, dual projector headlamps, forged levers, USD front forks, rear monoshock, split seats, loading mount, raised handlebar, full digital speedo console, full size exhaust, tyre hugger, alloy wheels, disc brakes, and ABS of course.
The bike is built around an exposed trellis chassis and will get a 17L fuel tank for good touring range. The bike will also be light, with the weight expected to be in the range of 150 kg.
Does the Benelli TRK 251 look like a good touring motorcycle for you? Will you start saving for this one?
