Benelli TRK 251 Adventure ready for launch in India

Benelli India has teased a new adventure motorcycle for the Indian market through its official YouTube India channel. The brand has also captioned the teaser as “Your Everyday Adventure”. This leads us to believe that the brand is planning to launch a quarter-litre adventure motorcycle for India. Benelli could be readying the new TRK 251 for the Indian market, which will directly rival the KTM 250 Adventure. The new Benelli TRK 251 will also rival other adventure segment motorcycles such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan and BMW Motorrad G 310 GS.

Benelli TRK 251 Adventure Motorcycle – Design Highlights

The new Benelli TRK 251 features the Italian marquee’s ADV DNA and comes with a design inspired by the TRK 502. The motorcycle comes with a sharp beak on the front and twin headlamps with a unique LED DRL light signature. The motorcycle also comes with a tall windshield to protect the rider from the weather elements.

The bike also features chiselled side panels which integrate the turn indicators for the front. The TRK 251 also comes with a scooped ergonomically designed seat for the rider and pillion. On the rear, the TRK 251 also features a sleek tail, with luggage mounts and an integrated pillion grab rail. The Benelli TRK 251 comes with alloy wheels and upswept exhaust pipes.

Benelli TRK 251 Adventure Motorcycle – Technical Specifications

Powering the Benelli TRK 251 is a 249cc single-cylinder four-stroke four-valve DOHC motor. The liquid-cooled engine comes with pressure splash lubrication and an electronic fuel injection system. Thanks to the TLI ignition system and the 12:1 compression ratio, the engine is able to produce 25.5 Hp of power and 21.1 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch.

Benelli offers the TRK 251 with an Arch Bar Truck frame that rides on the upside-down telescopic front suspension and a telescopic coil spring oil damped rear suspension. The bike gets 170mm of ground clearance and a seat height of 800mm. The motorcycle also gets 18-litre of fuel tank capacity and 164 kg of dry weight.

Benelli is soon likely to announce the launch of the TRK 251 adventure motorcycle in India soon.
