Benelli has unveiled the TRK 702 range of bikes. These include the TRK 702 and the TRK 702X. Both these adventure tourers will be available in the international markets.
While the standard model will get a more road-oriented setup, the X version will come tuned for more off the road driving.
Both bikes get a similar design. They get twin-pod headlight, semi fairing with a front beak, windscreen, knuckle guards, 20-litre fuel tank, stepped seat and a tall exhaust end can. While the standard version gets 17-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli Angel GT tyres, the X variant will get 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire spoke rims shod in Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres.
Colour choice for the standard bike will be an option from three paint schemes – Anthracite Grey, Forest Green, and Pearl White. On the other hand, the X will get more choice – Anthracite Grey, Forest Green, Dune Sea, and Moon Grey.
Both the bikes will get full LED lighting, a 5-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, music and calling controls on handlebars, and uniquely, a camera mounted on the front of the bike to record videos and pictures.
The motorcycles come with 50mm upside down front forks and rear mono-shock. Braking duties are handled by twin 320mm discs at the front and single 260 mm disc at the back.
Benelli has offered a 686cc, twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine on both the bikes. This engine produces a peak power of 76.2 BHP @ 8,750 rpm and a peak torque of 68.2 Nm @ 6,250 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a wet clutch and a torque converter.
The Benelli TRK 702 and TRK 702X are expected to be available in the first half of 2023 in the international markets. That said, it is not yet known when they would reach Indian shores.
