Benelli has now launched their new retro classic motorcycle, the Imperiale 400 in the Indian market priced at INR 1.69 lakh. The Benelli Imperiale 400 primarily rivals the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and is the first such modern classic motorcycle from the Italian bike brand in India.
A part of the Benelli-MotoBi range history from the 1950s, the Benelli Imperiale 400 has been introduced in 3 body colour options which includes black, red & silver. Other motorcycles which fall in a similar price range include the Jawa 300, Mahindra Mojo, Bajaj Dominar 400, etc. Interested customers can book the Benelli Imperiale 400 by paying INR 4,000 online or at the nearest Benelli showroom. For peace of mind, Benelli is offering 3-year / unlimited km warranty as standard on the Imperiale 400. The bike gets complimentary service for the first 2-years and there is also an AMC package which can be availed at a later date.
Powering the Benelli Imperiale 400 is a 374cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC petrol motor producing 21 PS of power @ 5500 RPM and 29 Nm of torque @ 4500 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike rides on a double cradle chassis making use of 41mm telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers. The bike has a 300mm front disc brake and a 240mm rear disc brake, both getting ABS (dual-channel).
The Benelli Imperiale 400 has an unladen weight of 205 kg, 12L of fuel tank capacity, wheelbase of 1440mm, length of 2170mm, seat height of 780mm, height of 1120mm and width of 820mm.
There is ample use of chrome and shiny materials to give the bike a retro look.
