Sources reveal that the Benelli Imperiale will be launched very soon. The brand is internally working at getting the bike launch ready, and in the first half of 2019, the Imperiale could hit the Indian showrooms. When launched, the bike will rival the likes of Royal Enfield & Jawa. This modern classic motorcycle could have its pricing in the range of INR 2-3 lakh.
The Benelli Imperiale will get a 373.5cc, single-cylinder, SOHC, fuel-injected motor which will produce close to 19 BHP of power and 28 Nm of torque. The engine will be coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Riding on a double cradle chassis, the bike will get a conventional telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers at the rear.
The Benelli Imperiale will however find it difficult to hit the nostalgia chord here in the Indian market. The likes of Royal Enfield and Jawa have had a long standing relationship with the Indian two-wheeler enthusiast. Which, this Benelli model lacks.
