On the occasion of World Environment Day, Batt:RE has launched its Stor:ie electric scooter. The company has launched the electric scooter at a price of INR 89,600 ex-showroom. The price excludes the state government subsidy. According to Batt:RE, the new electric scooter is a strategic addition to its portfolio. Furthermore, the company says it is another stepping stone to a greener future.
Batt:RE currently has its presence in over 20 states and 300 cities and has over 400 dealerships. The company’s dealership network is present from Kashmir all the way to Kanyakumari. As of now, Batt:RE has sold over 30,000 scooters. The new Stor:ie will be available in all the company’s dealerships from next week.
The Stor:ie comes with a host of features. These also include a Bluetooth-enabled smart speedometer with turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts. The Stor:ie is also among the only electric scooters to sport a metal panel body. Thus, ensuring more durability while also being resistant to scrapes. There is also a Connected Drive feature. The feature locates and navigates to the nearest charging station. It also gets an easy ‘pay and charge’ concept for convenience. Batt:RE made the Stor:ie keeping user comfort and safety in mind. As such, users can also get a complete diagnostic summary of the scooter on the go.
Powering the electric scooter is a Lucas TVS motor and controller. Additionally, the Stor:ie also gets an AIS 156-approved 3.1 kWh battery pack. According to Batt:RE, the Stor:ie will deliver an ICAT-certified range of 132 km on a single charge. Batt:RE says it tested the scooter for 100,000 kilometres. The company did this to prevent any thermal runaway incidents. Batt:RE says this, along with the scooter’s combined braking system (CBS), aids in better control on all roads.
