Bajaj Pulsar NS160 breaks world record for longest no-hands wheelie

The Bajaj Pulsar NS series is again in the record books. This time the Pulsar NS160 has broken the world record for the longest no-hands wheelie. The record is now registered in the India Book of Records and Federation of Motor Sports Club of India (FMSCI). The new record was set by Hrishikesh Mandke, a renowned road tester.

New World Record For No Hand Wheelie

Hrishikesh Mandke set the new record in presence of a senior representative from FMSCI and an adjudicator from the India Book of Records. The road tester performed the no hand wheelie setting a record of 186.8 meters and breaking the existing world record of 89 meters. According the Hrishikesh Mandke the Pulsar NS160 is light enough to manage a no hands wheelie and also has a strong frame to deliver control. The powerful engine also helps initiate and maintain the wheelie, said Mandke.

Powering the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is a 160.3cc single-cylinder motor. The powertrain features oil-cooling a 4-valve distribution system and fuel injection. This helps produce 17.2 PS of power and 14.6 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 5-speed gearbox and the motorcycle has one of the best power-to-weight ratios in the segment. While the DTS-I twin-spark fuel injected engine offers a smooth throttle response, the perimeter frame with its high stiffnessstability balance and control even on one wheel.

The Fastest Quarter-Mile Wheelie Record

Hrishikesh Mandke also recently set the new national record for the fastest quarter-mile wheelie on the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. Hence registering a new record in the India Book of Records and FMSCI Indian National Record. Mandke took just 23.68 seconds to execute the fastest quarter-mile wheelie. The weapon of choice was the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 in the stock showroom condition with only minor changes to the rear fender. The complete video of the record is available on Bajaj Pulsar’s YouTube channel.
