Bajaj has started the deliveries of the recently launched Pulsar 250. The company mentioned that the first delivery happened from the Shourya Bajaj showroom at Chinchwad. And the first-ever owner of the Pulsar 250 happens to be a loyal Pulsar fan who had also owned the previous generation Pulsar 220.
Pulsar has made itself a brand with a very high fan following. Whenever the name of Pulsar comes up, we get nostalgia, and it reminds us of the iconic TV commercials showcasing what Pulsar stands for. And taking this forward, this new motorcycle will also aim to carry ahead the legacy. Retailing at INR 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom), Bajaj Pulsar N250 is an attractive option amongst its rivals. The F250 costs INR 2,000 extra and undercuts the other semi-fairing options like Suzuki Gixxer SF250 and Bajaj Pulsar RS200 by a wide margin.
Retaining the iconic styling of the Pulsar, the 250 series do not get any radical design changes. The motorcycle does comply with the previous Pulsar’s design language, and they look quite rad as well. There are two motorcycles under the 250 series, i.e. N250 and F250. Both share the same platform and chassis, in fact, the only difference is F250’s semi-fairing with sharper-looking LED lights. Pulsar fans would definitely appreciate Bajaj’s effort in designing these motorcycles. One of the highlight features of the new Pulsar 250 is its semi-digital instrument cluster. In the time when everyone is going for full-digital consoles, it is good to see Bajaj retaining the analogue tachometer.
Interestingly, Bajaj is not offering Bluetooth connectivity with the Pulsar 250. And we assume this is done to keep the price under check. But, in the times when some entry-level motorcycles and scooters come with Bluetooth connectivity, Bajaj could have offered it as optional. The main key highlight of the Pulsar 250 is its new engine. Bajaj is making use of a brand new 249.07cc SOHC air and oil-cooled unit. The performance output stands at 24.5 BHP and 21.5 Nm. Another point to mention is that the Pulsar 250 comes with a 5-speed gearbox and not a 6-speed unit.
