Planning for a 125 cc motorcycle? Have a look at this new Pulsar Carbon Edition. Bajaj Auto recently expanded its Indian portfolio with the launch of the Pulsar 125 Carbon Fibre edition. This edition is available in both single-seat and split-seat versions. Currently, it is listed in two colours – blue and red. The single-seat version retails at INR 89,254. Meanwhile, the split-seat variant is available at INR 91,642 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

What Is The Bajaj Pulsar 125 Carbon Edition?

Both paint options use black colour as the base colour. Meanwhile, there are more graphics on the headlight cowl, fuel tank and shrouds, engine cowl, rear panel, and alloy wheel stripes. Further, this version as apparent from the name, gets carbon fibre graphics on the belly pan, front fender, tank, and rear cowl. The overall design however remains the same. Thus it retains the single-pod headlight with twin DRLs, a muscular fuel tank, bolted shrouds, and a side-slung exhaust.

Mechanical Highlights

The mechanical specifications and hardware, too, remain exactly the same as the standard version. Thus no changes there. So the Pulsar 125 Carbon Fibre edition uses the 124.4cc, single-cylinder engine. This power unit makes a maximum output of 11.64 BHP at 8,500rpm and 10.80Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. This engine uses a five-speed gearbox. The shock absorption setup includes telescopic forks for the front and gas-charged twin springs for the rear. Braking power comes from a 240mm disc at the front and a drum unit at the back.

Other Options In The Price Range

As the entry-level offering in the Pulsar family, the Bajaj Pulsar 125 gives the right balance between performance and practicality. The Pulsar 125 goes up against the likes of Honda Shine, Honda SP 125, Hero Super Splendor and the Hero Glamour 125. For the same price as the Bajaj Pulsar 125, one looking for a scooter can also buy the TVS Ntorq 125, Yamaha Fascino 125, or Suzuki Access 125.
