After launching the new 2022 Pulsar N160, Bajaj has now launched new all-black variants for its Pulsar 250s. Furthermore, the new variants will also come equipped with Dual Channel ABS. Pricing for the all-black models starts at INR 1,49,978 ex-showroom for the Pulsar N250. Bajaj will continue to sell the single-channel ABS variant of the Pulsar 250 in the existing colours – Racing Red, Caribbean Blue and Techno Grey.
Bajaj’s Pulsar 250 have been selling in good numbers in the country. Bajaj also recently achieved the creditable feat of delivering 10,000 units of the Pulsar 250 in less than six months since its launch. This also makes it the fastest-selling 250cc motorcycle to reach the sales milestone in the post-BS6 era. The recently introduced Pulsar N160 will lower the entry price point for the next generation Pulsar range. Thus, increasing the sales even further.
Bajaj says the contrasting finishes of the newly developed black tones elevate the Pulsar 250’s design. The new all-black theme comes with a combination of gloss and matte high sparkle paints. There are also some silver and red accents. Contrasting the Glossy Brooklyn Black on the tank and seat cowl are the Satin Black finishes on the side covers and tank-side inners. The reverse-boomerang LED DRLs and LED projector unipod headlight continues the signature wolf-eyed look. Furthermore, it also gets new black chrome branding, blacked-out alloys, exhaust end-can and engine casing to enhance the looks further.
Another addition to the Pulsar 250 range is the option of Dual Channel ABS. The system will inspire more riding confidence by restricting wheel lockups while using either of the brakes. This, along with a larger 300mm front and 230mm rear disc brake and larger tyres, improve grip and safety.
Bajaj has not made any changes to the engine of the bike. Thus, it continues to use the same 249.07cc oil-cooled single-cylinder motor. The fuel-injected motor also uses a SOHC valvetrain. The motor makes 24.5 PS of power at 8750 rpm and 21.5 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The transmission is a constant-mesh 5-speed unit. It also gets an Assist and Slipper Clutch which allows for aggressive downshifts and a lighter clutch pull.
