Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG motorcycle will retail in 77 cities by Independence Day

Bajaj Auto Ltd. has announced the widespread availability of its new motorcycle, the Bajaj Freedom 125. Launched on July 5, 2024, this vehicle is the world’s first CNG-integrated motorcycle, offering an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative to traditional petrol bikes.

In response to an overwhelming market reception, with over 30,000 inquiries within the first week, Bajaj has expedited its rollout plans. The Freedom 125 will be available in 77 towns across India by August 15, coinciding with the 77th anniversary of the country’s independence. This accelerated expansion highlights the strong demand and Bajaj’s commitment to providing sustainable transportation solutions.

An Economical and Safe Ride

The Bajaj Freedom 125 stands out for its dual-fuel capability, featuring both CNG and petrol options. It boasts up to 50% lower operating costs compared to conventional petrol motorcycles, making it an attractive option for cost-conscious riders. The motorcycle is equipped with an integrated CNG tank within a sturdy trellis frame, offering over 200 km of range on 2 kg of CNG. An additional 2-liter petrol tank extends the total range to 330 km, providing flexibility for longer journeys. The motorcycle is equipped with a 125 cc engine that produces 9.5 PS of power and 9.7 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Safety and comfort have been key considerations in the design of the Freedom 125. The bike includes advanced safety features such as a securely housed CNG tank and kit, rigorously tested for safety. It also features mono-linked suspensions, a long-quilted seat for added comfort, LED headlamps, a digital speedometer, and Bluetooth connectivity, ensuring a modern and user-friendly riding experience.

Affordable and Accessible

Starting at a price of INR 95,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Freedom 125 offers three variants, making it accessible to a broad range of customers. The first unit was delivered in Pune on July 16, just days after its official launch, marking a swift market entry.
