Bajaj Dominar 400 price has now breached the INR 2 lakh mark and the brand’s flagship motorcycle now retails at the price of INR 202,755 ex-showroom, Delhi. The Bajaj Dominar earlier priced INR 199,755 ex-showroom, Delhi which means the motorcycle now costs INR 3,000 more than the predecessor. Apart from the price hike, there are no changes on the motorcycle. The price hike could be due to the rise in the input cost at manufacturing.
Powering the Bajaj Dominar 400 is a BS6 compliant 373.3cc single-cylinder 4-stroke, 4-valve triple-spark engine with electronic fuel injection liquid cooling that produces 40 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox and a wet multi-plate slipper clutch. Even with the price hike, the Dominar 400 with the 40 PS, 373cc DOHC engine derived from the KTM 390 Duke is a value for money proposition in the segment.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 features a perimeter frame, a 43mm upside front fork suspension with 135mm of travel, a multistep adjustable Nitrox gas-charged monoshock suspension on the rear with 110mm of wheel travel. Braking duties on the Dominar 400 are handled by a single 320mm disc on the front and a single 230mm disc on the rear equipped with hydraulically operated callipers and dual-channel ABS. The Dominar 400 measures 2,156mm in length, 835mm in width, 1112mm in height and comes with a 1,453mm long wheelbase with a ground clearance of 157mm. The motorcycle tips the scales at 184 kg kerb and has a fuel tank capacity of 13-litres.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 comes with features such as LED headlamps and taillamps, a muscular fuel tank design, ergonomic seating, straight handlebars, a small flyscreen, a full-digital negative display instruments cluster, tank-mounted secondary display with telltale lights, twin outlet exhausts, dual-tone 17-inch machine-finished alloy wheels and aerodynamic cast aluminium mirror housings etc.
