Bajaj Auto has announced the discontinuation of its Pulsar F250 semi-faired motorbike from the Indian market. This bike is no longer listed on the company’s official website, and dealers are not receiving new invoices.
The Pulsar F250 was introduced in late 2021, along with the Pulsar N250. While the Pulsar F250 had trouble, the Pulsar N250 has now developed a respectable fan base. With the introduction of the F250, the business thought that sales of the well-known Pulsar 220F would decline and that consumers would choose the more contemporary and high-end F250 instead. That didn’t happen, though, as the 250cc motorcycle was still outsold by the Pulsar 220F.
Faired and semi-faired motorcycles were first rather popular among Indian consumers. However, there has been a shift in consumer behaviour over the past three years, with consumers favouring designs that are more clean and nude. A few Bajaj dealers we spoke with attested to this as well. The Pune-based manufacturer will not be selling the F250 in 2025 at this time.
Further, bajaj has also discontinued Bajaj CT125X and Bajaj Platina 110 ABS.
With a debut price of INR 71,354, the Bajaj CT125X was one of the most reasonably priced 125cc commuter motorcycles when it first hit the Indian market in 2022. The CT125X came in drum and disc brake variants and had a sturdy design that was somewhat reminiscent of the CT110X. In the bikemaker’s portfolio for India, the CT125X was positioned somewhat above its sister.
In 2022, the Platina 110 ABS was introduced in India, retailing for INR 72,224 (ex-showroom). The Platina 110 had the only anti-lock braking system (ABS) available on the 100-115cc market at the time. The ABS version of the Platina 110 has been withdrawn, although the drum brake version is still available.
