Bajaj Auto has announced that its popular electric scooter the Chetak has crossed the 20,000 bookings milestone in the month of July 2024. The brand also revealed that its expansion to Tier 2 cities has further enabled the brand to grow exponentially. In addition to this, the Bajaj Chetak’s 2901 variant which is its entry level model has also helped boost the sales numbers as it comes with an affordable price tag of just INR95,998 ex-showroom, Bangalore. The brand reveals that the solid metal body Chetak 2901 is quite popular among customers as well.
The growth in the sales numbers of Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is also thanks to the expansion of Chetak Experience Centres as well as Bajaj Dealerships in smaller towns. Thanks to this, the brand has been able to spread awareness of the legendary brand to small towns and to showcase the Chetak in its futuristic all-electric avatar. Bajaj Auto reveals that the Chetak electric scooter is now available across ~ 2000 sales points throughout India. Thanks to the large number of touchpoints, the Chetak electric scooter has become quite popular in the Indian market.
Another reason why the Chetak electric is popular in India is thanks to its range of 123 km on a single charge. Also, the Bajaj Chetak comes with modern features such as a coloured digital display with Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally customers can also choose the Lifetime Tec Pac which adds features such as Reverse, Hill Hold, Sport and Economy modes, Call and Music Control, and ‘Follow Me Home’ lights.
The most affordable Chetak, out of the three variants, which is the 2901 is available in the Indian market with five colour options as well. These are Red, White, Black, Lime Yellow and Azure Blue.
