Bajaj Auto at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024

Bajaj Auto, one of the leading two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturers in India, has showcased its range of alternative-fuelled vehicles at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024, held in New Delhi from February 1 to 3. The company has displayed its flex-fuel technology, which allows the vehicles to run on a combination of ethanol and gasoline, as well as its electric and CNG offerings.

Bajaj Auto Flex-Fuel Range

Among the flex-fuel products, Bajaj has unveiled the Pulsar NS160 and the Dominar 440, which can run on both ethanol and petrol, or a 27.5% ethanol-gasoline blend, respectively. Bajaj claims that these vehicles are ready to support the government’s initiatives on ethanol-blended and ethanol fuels, which aim to reduce the dependence on fossil fuels and lower the carbon emissions. The company has not yet announced the launch date or the price of these models.

Chetak EV

Bajaj has also showcased its fully-electric scooter, the Chetak Premium, which was launched in 2020 and has been well-received by the customers. The Chetak Premium offers a range of 95 km on a single charge and comes with features like reverse mode, LED lights, digital instrument cluster, and Bluetooth connectivity. The scooter is priced at Rs. 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom).

Qute CNG

Another alternative-fuelled vehicle displayed by Bajaj is the Qute CNG, a quadricycle that runs on compressed natural gas. The Qute CNG is designed to offer a low-cost and eco-friendly mode of urban transportation, with a mileage of 43 km/kg and a top speed of 70 km/h. The Qute CNG is available in both passenger and cargo variants, with prices starting from Rs. 2.48 lakh (ex-showroom).
