Autoinspekt offers better used car valuation

Planning to sell your vehicle? Now you can get a professional valuation for your used car using Autoinspekt.

Backed by Mahindra & Mahindra, Autoinspekt is a cloud based vehicle inspection platform. It employs around 100 mechanical engineers who run a 150-point check on used cars before feeding the derived data into an algorithm-based matrix, known as the Indian Blue Book. This later returns the valuation of a used car. Valuation of the same car might differ based on market-driven valuations. The engineer checks the body parts, electricals, air-conditioning, brakes, steering, suspension, transmission, engine, fuel system, accessories etc. and updates a detailed data into the system. Documents such as RC book, insurance validity, hypothecation etc. are also checked.

Autoinspekt caters to individuals, financial institutions, new and used car dealers, vehicle manufacturers etc.

Reports suggest that 2.8-3 million used cars are sold in India every year. For every new car sold, there are 1.6 used cars sold in the country. Autoinspekt valuated 40,000 cars last year, and aim to inspect 1,00,000 vehicles this year.

So, if you are in the market for a used car, or wish to sell your existing car, give Autoinspekt a shot and check how it works. Good or bad, this might be slightly better than the unorganised used car evaluations we have been noticing for quite some time.
