German luxury car manufacturer Audi has launched the new Q8 SUV in India. The Q8 is a 5-seater, 4-door, luxury Coupe SUV and has been priced at INR 1.33 crore ex-showroom. The SUV is indeed stylish, and it remains to be seen how many we spot on the streets in the months to come. The Audi A8 as a nameplate has arrived for the first time in India. The Q8 will be a Made-to-Order luxury SUV for those looking at a stylish SUV, and not the conventional boxy designs. The Q8 will be a full import here in India, and only 200 units have been allocated for India in 2020. The Audi Q8 is now the flagship SUV for the brand in our market. The highlight of the Audi A8 is that it will come with 54 exterior paint options, 11 interior colour trim options and 9 wooden insert options.
Powering the Audi Q8 is a 3.0L, BS6 compliant, turbocharged TFSI petrol motor with 48V mild hybrid system. This engine has a power output of 340 HP and 500 Nm of peak torque. The Audi Q8 can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph. Audi will offer this Coupe SUV with a 8-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox. Matching its SUV DNA, the Q8 will have 254mm of ground clearance with short overhangs and the Quattro permanenet AWD system to help owners drive over broken terrain with ease. The Q8 also gets all-wheel steering as an option and the SUV rides on adaptive air suspension. The Q8 features a 7 driving modes via the Audi Drive Select.
On the outside, the Audi Q8 will get a singlegrame front grille finished in platinum grey, broad C-pillar reminiscent of the 1st generation Quattro, HD Matrix LED headlamps, flared wheel arches, XL sized air intakes, frameless doors, panoramic glass roof, dynamic turn indicators, continuous running LED strip for the LED tail lamp, trapezoidal exhaust design, rear diffuser and optional S Line / S Line Sports exterior detailing package.
Inside, the sports package adds sport seats, flat bottom steering wheel, full digital cockpit, button-less infotainment and MMI with Navigation, custom contoured seat option, optional ventilated & massage seats, 4-zone climate control, air quality package with ionizer and fragrance, Band & Olufsen surround sound system with 23 speakers, wireless charging, and more…
The Audi Q8 measures 4.99 metres in length, 2.0 metres in width, 1.71 metres in height, 3.0 metres in wheelbase and has a boot space of 1755 litres. Safety features include 8-airbags, park assist, stability program, hill descent control, connected systems with SOS function, etc.
