German luxury carmaker, Audi, has announced the launch of a limited edition Audi Q7 in India to celebrate the upcoming festive season. As it is a limited edition, Audi India will only sell 50 units of the SUV. Head of Audi India, Mr Balbir Singh Dhillon, said the new Q7 limited edition stands apart with its unique exterior colour and will indeed turn heads.
Furthermore, he said that with the upcoming festive season, Audi India wants to give its customers the option of ‘Exclusivity to be amongst a few’ who own the limited edition Q7. The Q7 limited edition continues with the standard version’s versatile performance, both on and off-road, which is a key trait which makes it stand apart.
The limited edition of the Q7 will be available in the Technology variant with an exclusive Barrique Brown colour. The Audi Q7 limited edition carries a price tag of INR 88,08,000 ex-showroom. Audi will only sell 50 units of these. Thus, adding to the exclusivity factor.
The biggest highlight of the limited edition is the exclusive colour option. The Barrique Brown colour option will be exclusive to the limited edition and not available on the standard versions. In addition, there will also be an enhanced appearance package available. The package will add running boards, Quattro entry LED and Audi Ring foil in silver.
On the outside, it continues with the flat and wide Singleframe grille with an octagonal outline and a new sill trim. The Q7 limited edition comes with a high-gloss styling package as standard. It also gets a large panoramic sunroof and adaptive windshield wipers with integrated washer nozzles.
On the inside, the Q7 limited edition gets a driver-oriented wraparound cockpit design. This allows for easy ergonomics and intuitive hand movements. The SUV also features a 730W 19-speaker B&O Premium 3D sounds system with a central speaker, subwoofer as well as a 16-channel amplifier.
Powering the Q7 is a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 engine. The TFSI V6 engine also gets a 48V mild-hybrid system. It produces 340 HP of power and 500 Nm of torque. This enables the Q7 limited edition to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 kmph. The engine is mated to Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system.
The 48V electrical system also provides adequate power to the Belt Alternator Starter (BAS). This allows the engine to be turned off for 40 seconds when coasting. The BAS also helps automatically restart the vehicle as per the system’s demands.
