Written by Nizam Shaikh

Audi India has released a new teaser which gives us a glimpse of the upcoming Audi Q7 facelift. The brand released the teaser on the micro-blogging site Twitter through its official Audi India handle. This leads us to believe that the brand will soon launch the new Audi Q7 in the Indian market. According to reports, the facelifted Audi Q7 will come with two variants Premium Plus and Technology. Expect the launch of the premium SUV sometime in January 2022.

Audi Q7 Production Begins in India

Last month Audi India officially announced that the brand has commenced production of the Audi Q7 in the Indian market. The facelifted Q7 SUV is being produced at Audi’s SAVWIPL (Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited) plant in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The local assembly of the luxury SUV will help the brand keep the prices competitive and allow the Q7 to compete with the Mercedes GLE/GLS, the BMW X5/X7, and Volvo XC90 SUVs in India.

Audi Q7 Facelift – Highlights

The Audi Q7 facelift measures 5,063mm in length, 1,970mm in width, and 1,741mm in height, along with a 2,995mm wheelbase. The facelift model comes with an updated front and rear and gets Audi’s signature LED matrix headlamps. The Q7 also comes with hallmark segmented LED taillights and integrated LED DRLs. The German manufacturer is likely to offer a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with Audi’s 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. Audi is also likely to offer a new panoramic sunroof on the Q7. The new Audi Q7 is also likely to receive an additional 8.6-inch touchscreen panel which controls the 4-zone automatic climate control.

Audi Q7 Facelift – Powertrain

Powering the Audi Q7 is likely to be a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol motor from the Volkswagen Group on the base and mid-spec variants. Higher-spec variants may come with a 3.0-litre, turbocharged V6 petrol engine producing 340 PS of power and 500 Nm of torque. The brand will likely offer a 48V mild-hybrid system and an 8-speed automatic transmission with Quattro AWD.
