Audi could be planning to bring the Audi Q6 e-tron electric vehicle to the Indian market. However, reports suggest that the German luxury car manufacturer is likely to locally assemble the Audi Q6 e-tron in India. Thanks to this, the brand will be able to price the electric car competitively, here in India.
The company is likely to import the electric car via the CKD route and assemble it here in India. According to reports, Audi will locally assemble the Q6 e-tron at the Skoda Auto VW India manufacturing facility in Aurangabad. Thanks to this, the expected price of the Audi Q6 e-tron is likley to be around the INR 85 lakh ex-showroom mark. The Q6 e-tron will also become the brand’s first electric vehicle to be locally assembled in India. Reports further reveal that test mules of the Q6 e-tron have also been spotted in India and the model could be undergoing homologation at the ARAI. This also leads us to believe that the production is likely to commence soon.
