Audi has unveiled the brand’s new “Vorsprung 2030” strategy that will set the company’s transition towards e-mobility. With the “Vorsprung durch Technik” (Progress through Technology) slogan of the future, Audi will take the necessary steps to solve the global problems, including carbon emissions and global warming. Under the new initiative, Audi will fight against the problems by using clean technologies. For this, Audi is also focusing on zero-emission drive systems.
Under the Vorsprung 2030 initiative, Audi plans to phase out the internal combustion engine. The brand will also work towards differentiating Audi’s all-electric vehicles through quality and design. In the new digital era, Audi will also work towards autonomous driving, and the brand will be in frequent contact with the customer.
The brand will also focus on profitable growth and differentiation. Along with this, the brand also announced that all new models from 2026 would be fully electric. The brand will also put an end to internal combustion engines from 2033. Audi will also develop an extensive ecosystem for electric cars to sustain its future vehicles. The brand will also expand the after-sales offering, which will include intelligent hardware and predictive service.
Audi recently launched the all-electric e-tron range in the Indian market. The Audi e-tron comes with a starting price of INR 99.99 lakh ex-showroom. The German car manufacturer offers the Audi e-tron in three variants – e-tron 50, e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55. The e-tron comes with a 230kW electric motor and 300kW electric motor options. The brand also offers a 71kWh lithium-ion battery that returns a range of 264-379km and another 95kWh lithium-ion battery that offers 359-484km on a full charge. Customers can also recharge the e-tron range using 11kW AC to up to 150kW DC options. The e-tron range in India competes with the Mercedes-EQ EQC and the Jaguar I-Pace.
