Ather Energy has unveiled its sales figures for the month of August 2023, revealing a promising performance. The company successfully sold 8,062 electric scooters during this period. When compared to the preceding month, July 2023, where Ather achieved sales of 7,858 electric scooters, the sales for August saw a noteworthy 2.59 percent month-over-month growth, with an additional 204 units sold. Furthermore, the company experienced a remarkable 26 percent year-on-year growth, with 6,410 units sold in August 2022.
Ather mentioned a surge in pre-orders for the new scooters since their launch. The production of the 450S and 450X, both featuring a 2.9 kWh battery, has been gradually ramped up and is expected to reach full production capacity this month. With an enhanced product portfolio expanding customer access to their scooters and the onset of the festive season, the company is optimistic about securing a larger market share in the forthcoming months.
Additionally, Ather Energy introduced updates to its 450-scooter lineup with the launch of the revamped 450 Series. This includes the 450S with a 2.9 kWh battery pack and the 450X with two battery options, namely 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh. The 450S is offered in two variants: Core, priced at Rs 1.30 lakh, and Pro, priced at Rs 1.44 lakh, making it the most cost-effective option from the brand. As for the 450X, it currently features a smaller 2.9 kWh battery and is available in two versions: Core at Rs 1.38 lakh and Pro at Rs 1.54 lakh.
August was an exciting month for Ather, as they announced the launch of the new 450 Series of scooters. This launch allows them to reach a wider range of customers as they now have three products on the 450 platform at different price segments. The 450S, the latest entry-level model, breaks new ground in the 125cc performance scooter segment with a first-of-its-kind DeepViewTM Display dashboard and a slew of innovative features. The refreshed 450X with a 2.9 kWh battery has a range of 115 km and is packed with new safety and performance features.
In recent developments, Ather Energy initiated the rollout of the 450S from its manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, as shared by the company’s founder, Tarun Mehta, on his social media platforms. This signifies the brand’s commitment to expanding its presence and meeting the growing demand for its electric scooters.
