Ather hikes 450 Apex prices to INR 1.95 lakh, any buyers?

Ather Energy, the Bengaluru-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has recently revised the price of its flagship model, the Ather 450 Apex. Launched in January 2024, the 450 Apex initially carried an introductory price of INR 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom). However, as the introductory offer concludes, the scooter now costs INR 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom), marking an increase of INR 6,000.

Introductory Offer Ends: Ather celebrated its tenth-anniversary milestone by introducing the 450 Apex, positioned as their most powerful electric scooter to date. he initial launch price of INR 1.89 lakh garnered attention, but the company has now adjusted the pricing to reflect market realities.

The Revised Pricing: The Ather 450 Apex now starts at INR 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The INR 6,000 increase places it as a premium offering in the EV segment.

Technical Specifications: The Ather 450 Apex features a 3.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It boasts a certified range of 157 km on a single charge, making it suitable for urban commuting.

Magic Twist: The 450 Apex gets something called ‘Magic Twist,’ a first-of-its-kind feature that works like single-pedal driving in electric cars. It’s an evolution of regenerative braking, capable of bringing the scooter to a complete halt even at 100% battery charge. Magic Twist allows users to brake with negative input on the throttle, providing 40% more braking force than other regenerative braking systems in India.

Unique Design: The Ather 450 Apex showcases a clean, minimal design, with a unique transparent panel revealing the scooter’s internal chassis. The transparent panel, set against a painted orange chassis, is a first in India. The scooter sports a bold ‘Indium Blue’ color, known as the most matte blue globally, contrasted against a striking orange.
