Ather has 100+ Experience Centres in India

Ather Energy breaches yet another milestone. India’s leading electric scooter maker recently inaugurated its 100th Experience Centre (EC) in Patparganj, New Delhi. Ather Energy which is commemorating a decade in the EV industry has had an array of landmark moments in the first month of the year itself.  This includes rolling out the 1,00,000th scooter from Ather’s manufacturing facility and selling 12,149 units, registering a 329 per cent year-on-year growth.

Ather Energy’s Plans For The Future

In the past few years, Ather has been flying high. As per Ather’s plans, its rapid expansion has now reached the 100-store milestone. Growing from 50 stores in September 2022, to 100 in a short span of five months. Currently, Ather is available across 80 cities in over 20 states in India. In all these states, Ather has also emerged as the market leader across the top scooter-centric markets. This includes Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

Currently, Ather has a market share of 14.1 per cent in its segment. This makes it one of the top 3 players in the segment. Ather’s efforts in the EV segment are clearly visible. As per the recent trend, we see that the company is not just being concentrated in tier-1 cities. In fact, Ather has been targeting more tier 2 and tier 3 cities. It currently has 64 ECs present in these regions, which helped the brand garner 41 per cent of its sales volume in the last 3 months. Given the current demand and popularity, Ather plans to open 200 touchpoints by March 2023.

Ather Energy’s Investing Big For The Charging Infrastructure

Ather Energy is also keenly focussed on the charging infrastructure as well. The company has already installed 30+ Ather Grids, fast charging points in Delhi-NCR. The plan is to add 30-35 more across the cities by March 2023.

Currently, Ather Energy holds the largest fast-charging network for two-wheelers in India with over 900 Ather Grids. The company has a target to install 1,400 Ather Grids by the end of FY23. Earlier this month, the company launched the Ather Neighbourhood Charging concept. Under this, it provides access to charging points in shared private spaces such as apartment complexes, office buildings, and tech parks.
