Ather Energy has announced its sales figures for July 2023. Thus marking an impressive year-on-year surge of 229 per cent with a total of 7,858 units sold. This achievement proves the company’s strong growth momentum. This compared to June 2023, when 6,479 electric scooters were sold. Ather’s July sales saw a substantial 21 per cent month-over-month increase, reflecting the sale of 1,379 additional units.
In a recent strategic move, Ather Energy has joined forces with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). The collaboration aims to enhance its electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This collaborative effort aims to capitalise on BPCL’s vast network of more than 21,000 fuel stations across India. This is to facilitate the installation of Ather’s public fast-charging Grid. To streamline charging session planning, the expansion will get the support of the Ather App, providing real-time charger availability information.
Ather Energy stated that the EV industry is rebounding despite the temporary downturn caused by the FAME II subsidy revision in June. And Ather is anticipating accelerated growth with the upcoming festive season. July saw a 21 per cent sales growth for Ather, elevating its market share from 10 per cent to 12 per cent compared to the previous month. The company has already started with pre-bookings for the forthcoming 450S scooter, set to launch on August 11th. This scooter aims to compete vigorously in the 125cc performance scooter segment, boasting remarkable performance and top-tier features.
In alignment with its commitment to accessibility, Ather Energy has also introduced up to 100 per cent on-road financing for its 450 Series electric scooters. This initiative aims to make electric mobility more attainable for a broader audience. Additionally, the company is also expanding its physical footprint, boasting 141 experience centres spanning 98 cities.
