Ather Energy introduces referral program for Ather 450 electric scooter

Bengaluru headquartered electric mobility solutions provider Ather Energy has announced a new referral program for Ather 450 that will not only benefit existing customers but also new owners with monetary credits worth INR 2500. The new Ather 450 referral program is has been rolled out in Bengaluru and Chennai. 

Under the new initiative, Ather will enable existing Ather 450 owners to share a referral code with their friends. If a purchase is made using the referral code, then both the referrer and referee get monetary credits worth INR 2500 each. The brand has also announced that all the pre-ordered Ather 450s will be delivered within three weeks of payment. 

The brand has also introduced easy ownership and exchange programs under which, customers can exchange any petrol 2-wheeler for Ather 450, a two-wheeler lease program along with the referral program in addition to the incentives offered by the Central and State governments. 

The Ather 450 100% electric scooter features highlights such as a 7-inch TFT LCD, LED Backlit, Touchscreen display with a colour depth of 16M and is powered by a Snapdragon 212 Quadcore 1.3 GHz processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage that runs an Android Open Source OS (AOSP) operating system, GNSS with AGPS positioning system, 4G LTE Cat-4 / WCDMA / EDGE, Wi-Fi 2.45G, Bluetooth 4.2 and BLE 5.0 connectivity and includes features such as OTA updates, onboard navigation, connected mobile app, side stand sensor, auto indicator off, take-me-home lights and many app-based features like ride stats, push navigation, live location & vehicle state, tracking, theft/tow detection, music control, call control, welcome lights and voice assistant. It also supports smart accessories like tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and smart helmets. 

Powering the Ather 450 is an IP67 water and dust resistant 5.4 kW PMSM motor that generates 20.5 Nm of torque coupled to a 2.9kWh Lithium-Ion battery which claims to return a projected range of 55-75 km in city conditions and supports fast charging feature.
