Ather Energy expands in Maharashtra, new showroom in Thane

Ather Energy continues its dealership expansion drive in full flow. The latest addition to the list is Thane. Located at Panch Pakhadi, Thane, the dealership will sell both the Ather 450X and Ather 450 Plus. Ather Energy also confirmed that it will continue to expand its retail presence in the state and across India to facilitate a hassle-free transition to EVs.

This new facility will also act as an experience centre for customers. Here, people can come to experience the Ather 450 series and learn everything about the scooter. Customers will also get complete service and support for their scooters. The dealership is already open for test rides and purchases. Thus, interested customers can book test ride slots to get a first-hand experience with the scooter. The new dealership also gets two new Ather Grid points in Thane. These will also be the new Ather Grid 2.0 points.

Ather’s Charging Infrastructure

With growing sales of electric scooters, the demand for chargers is also rising. Ather Energy is working hard to provide its customers with a well-connected and robust charging network. Ather Grid, as Ather likes to call its charging infrastructure, has already made its presence across major cities in the country.

In Mumbai itself, Ather customers benefit from chargers at 22 different locations. In Maharashtra, currently, there are over 60+ charging grids. And at the national level, the EV maker has 350 charging stations across 38 cities. The plan for the next three years is to install over 5,000 fast chargers across the country. A viable and robust charging network does help greatly in alleviating range anxiety amongst the customers.

Ather Energy Sales

Over the past year, the sales graph has only grown positive. Not just for Ather, the trend is the same for the entire EV segment. Almost all major EV makers posted positive sales growth. For May 2022, Ather Energy sold a total of 3787 scooters, registering its highest ever monthly sales. With the new round of funding, Ather plans to expand manufacturing facilities, invest in research and development, charging infrastructure, and grow the retail network. All of this will support the brand in catering to the growing demand for electric scooters without compromising quality, safety, and reliability.
