Aston Martin launches new Vantage in India at INR 3.99 crore

High-performance car marque Aston Martin has launched its new Vantage in India. The Aston Martin Vantage comes with a price tag of INR 3.99 Crore ex-showroom, and that’s before you start checking any boxes for additional extras. Aston Martin Claims that the new Vantage is the most driver-focused and fastest Vantage in its 74-year history.

Aston Martin Vantage – Overview

The Aston Martin Vantage is a front engined rear wheel drive sports car with a perfect 50:50 weight distribution and Twin Turbo V8 motor and industry leading Active Vehicle Dynamics including Bilstein DTX Adaptive dampers and Skyhook technology. On the exterior, the Aston Martin Vantage comes with a stylish and sophisticated Cosmopolitan Yellow colourway and AML-specific 21-inch wheels. The brand also offers an all-new interior architecture and a new state-of-the-art infotainment system.

Aston Martin Vantage – Engine and Performance

Powering the Aston Martin Vantage is a 4.0-litre V8-cylinder Twin Turbo petrol motor with water-to-air-charge cooling. The front mid-mounted engine produces 665 PS of power and 800 Nm of torque. The engine features Dual Variable Camshaft Timing and fully CNC machined combustion chambers. The Vantage comes with a rear-mounted 8-speed automatic, torque converter type gearbox with rear-wheel drive.

The Vantage also comes with an electronic rear limited slip differential and a carbon fibre prop shaft. Extruded Bonded Aluminium Body Structure along with Composite Panels also helps keep the Vantage on a diet. The result is a 0-100 kmph sprint time of 3.5 seconds. The sports car is also capable of achieving a top speed of 325 kmph.

Aston Martin Vantage – Handling

Aston Martin claims that the position of the engine and gearbox offer a perfect 50:50 weight distribution. If this was not enough Aston Martin also offers Adaptive Damping System (ADS) with Skyhook Technology & Bilstein DTX Intelligent Adaptive Dampers that claim razor-sharp handling. As standard the car comes with steel brakes but carbon ceramic brake system is also on offer in the extras. Additionally, the Vantage also comes with 5 selectable drive modes – Wet, Sport, Sports Plus, Track, and Individual (Featuring Customisable Drivetrain, Steering, and Chassis calibrations) to help the driver tame the beast.
