Aston Martin has launched the brand’s first-ever SUV in the Indian market priced starting at INR 3.82 crore ex-showroom, India. The Aston Martin DBX rivals the likes of other Luxury SUVs such as the Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus and the Roll Royce Cullinan.
The five-door SUV features the hallmark DB radiator grille, signature aero duct flanking the bumper LED with daytime running lights, almond-shaped Bi-LED headlights, a clamshell bonnet with twin extractors, muscular wheel arches, flush-fit door handles, satin chrome window trim, frameless doors with flush glazing, roof rails, rear aero wing, signature rear light blade, panoramic sunroof and Aston Martin wings & wordmark.
The Aston Martin DBX is 5,039mm in length, 2,050mm in width, 1,680mm in height comes with a 3,060mm of the wheelbase 190mm of minimum ground clearance and 235mm max ride height and 2,245kg of weight at the kerb. The Aston Martin DBX features a bonded aluminium bodyshell with aluminium and composite body panels to keep the weight in check.
On the inside, the Aston Martin DBX features ‘Caithness’ leather interior trim along with Piano Black wood veneer trim, satin chrome trim, 3-zone climate control, 64 colours dual-zone ambient lighting, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, 360-view with deploying rear camera system, nubuck binding on the carpet mats, satin chrome sports pedals, door sill plaques with Aston Martin Wings, sport design steering wheel with multiple functions, 12.3-inch TFT instruments cluster, 10.25-inch TFT central infotainment display with Apple CarPlay integration, ventilated seats and a lot more.
The Aston Martin DBX is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 Twin-Turbocharged front mid-mounted all-alloy construction engine with variable electronic turbo wastegate control, dual variable camshaft timing with 32-valve, quad overhead camshaft, 32-valve, quad overhead camshaft, cylinder deactivation system, active valve exhaust system and water-to-air charge cooling that help churn out 550PS of power and 700Nm which is a specific output of 138PS/litre. The powerful engine enables the large SUV to sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds and is capable of propelling the SUV to a top speed of 291km/h.
