Ashok Leyland, Hinduja Group’s flagship company, has officially unveiled the AVTR 4825 10×2 Tipper truck for the Indian market. The commercial vehicle manufacturer has equipped the truck with NRS suspension and a Tandem dummy axle for heavy-duty load carrying. Ashok Leyland claims that AVTR is India’s first modular truck platform offering 19 to 55 tonnes of GVW truck range. Additionally, the manufacturer will offer the 4825 with 10×4 and 10×2 functionality for better surface application, TAT, and fluid efficiency.

Powering the new AVTR 10×2 NRS is an A4 Series Engine with i-Gen6 technology, producing 900 Nm of torque. The engine delivers superior performance and durability along with the unique i-Gen 6 technology offering a unique Mid-NOx strategy. Ashok Leyland claims that the truck will significantly reduce consumption of DEF, leading to lower cost of operations and increased profitability. The company has equipped the AVTR 4825 10×2 tipper with a heavy-duty 9-speed gearbox for higher durability and next-gen airbrakes.
Additionally, the truck also features a 12.5-tonne dual tyre lift axle (DTLA) with patented parallelogram technology for better tyre life. Other features of the truck include ABS, ASA, and a spacious Crash Code compliant Sleeper Cabin with a full metal front jacket. The truck will also feature a Cable Gear shift, an Air-assisted clutch pedal, an Integrated ABC pedal and a Parabolic suspension. To cover long distances and enhance the load-carrying capability, the truck features a Heavy-duty, Non-Reactive rear suspension and heavy-duty rear axles.
Drivers can also experience superior comfort thanks to the cabin offering dampers, a suspended seat, and an anti-roll bar. Along with optional air conditioning, the truck will feature a heavy-duty, four-stage, Hydraulic FE Tipping cylinder for ease of tipping. Ashok Leyland will also equip the truck with an Anti-roll bar and Anti-toppling sensors for enhanced safety during loading and unloading. Finally, the truck will feature i-Alert (advanced telematics) and remote diagnostics digital solutions with 24×7 customer assistance via Uptime Solution Centres.
