Following the launch of the Aprilia RS 660 in the Indian market. Italian premium motorcycle manufacturer has now launched the Aprilia Tuono 660. The new Aprilia Tuono 660 is a slightly toned-down version of the RS 660 and comes with a half fairing design. The motorcycle also features relaxed ergonomics that will allow the brand to position the motorcycle in the middleweight sport touring and urban streetfighter segments in India.
Like the Aprilia RS 660, the Tuono 660 will also come via the CBU (Completely Built-Up) route. Bookings for the Aprilia Tuono 660 are now open at Aprilia dealerships and deliveries are likely to commence soon. Aprilia will offer the Tuono 660 in three colour options – Acid Gold, Iridium Grey and Concept Black.
Powering the Aprilia Tuono 660 is a 659cc parallel-twin cylinder engine. The engine comes with a separate water/oil heat exchanger to improve the thermodynamics of the vehicle. Aprilia offers a 6-speed transmission on the bike which pairs with a multi-plate wet clutch with a mechanical slipper system. The RS 660 uses the same engine but comes with 100 PS of power.
The Aprilia Tuono 660 comes with a 41mm upside-down front fork suspension with top-out springs and adjustable preload and rebound. The rear features a monoshock suspension with adjustable preload and rebound mounted to an asymmetrical aluminium swingarm.
